Namco Bandai has updated the Ultimate Tenkaichi section on their official website with some more information about the game, not least of which, the inclusion of a create a character mode!
Fans have been wanting to create their own characters in a DragonBall Z fighting game for many years now, and with speculation of Ultimate Tenkaichi being Spike’s last game (speculation from the developer’s themselves no less), it looks like they are all set to go out with one big fan pleasing bang.
The exact description of the mode from Namco Bandai themselves is as follows:
“Complete Character Creation & Customization – Appearance and attributes can be customized such as model body, face, hair, attire, fighting style and more! Additionally fighting style and special moves can be selected.”
Judging from this, it sounds like Spike have made the Ultimate Tenkaichi character customisation options as in-depth as those of the Soul Calibur series, which is renowned for its features.
Another piece of information from the site worth mentioning is that DragonBall GT characters have also been confirmed by Namco Bandai to be in the game. “Bonus levels” from the movies and DragonBall GT series are stated to be in the game, once again ensuring that Spike pleases the masses, as the characters have been requested but not seen every year since DragonBall Z: Infinite World was released on the PS2 in 2008.
DragonBall Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi blasts onto PS3 and XBOX 360 from 25th October in Japan, with a European release three days later on 28th October. But will you be getting it? Let us know in the comments!
