Sony Online Entertainment LLC have announced that the highly popular multiplayer game, Free Realms, will be making its way onto the Playstation 3 console later this month. Free Realms will be the first family-friendly massively mutliplayer online game to be released on any console.

Free Realms was originally launched in 2009 for the PC and then a year later in 2010 for MAC users, currently the game is still going strong on both formats and boasts almost 17 million registered players.
Players of the MMO will be able to partake in a range of games including playing football, battling pirate ships and raising exotic pets. Free Realms features a fun, social environment that allows players to take part in live events such as boss battles, group quests such as holiday quests and community activities such as in-game concerts.

The Playstation 3 version of Free Realms contains all of the adventures found in the original PC version, however it also features a streamlined user interface designed to make the most of the PS3’s interactive features. The game can be accessed from the Playstation Store and players can then chat via a headset and compare trophies with eachother for the full PS3 experience.
