New Transformers Dark Of The Moon Plot Info

The following article contains spoilers!

After the disaster that was Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, you would think that we had the seen the last of the robots in disguise on the silver screen, but alas we have not, enter this summer’s sequel, Dark Of The Moon.

This movie is said to be the last one featuring Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky and after the war of words between her and the movies director Michael Bay, Megan Fox is no more, well I suppose one out three not coming back isn’t bad. However that said, Fox has been replaced a lead female by…… Victoria Secret model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, so it appears that we may still be in for a bumpy ride.

As regards to the movies plot, well according to information in a recent magazine summer movies preview by Entertainment Weekly, this is what we can expect when Optimus Prime and co return this summer: “As the third movie begins, Sam Witwicky can’t find a job — but he does have a new girlfriend, Carly. Although he feels guilty that he’s placing her in danger, due to Sam’s friendship with the giant robots. The Decepticons, led by Shockwave, set their sights on Chicago, where Carly gets trapped. It’s up to Sam and Major William Lennox (Josh Duhamel) to guide her through the chaos. And the Decepticons have a plan, which calls for targeting Chicago in particular. Meanwhile, Sentinel Prime (Leonard Nimoy) turns up on the Moon.”

Now when you consider that Bay spent 8 months (so he tells reporters) working on the script for this movie with screenwriter Ehren Kruger and that one of the scenes involving a skyscraper being crushed was inspired by a session of Bay doing crunches at the gym. Is it any wonder that Bays claims of this being a better film are being met with large amounts of scepticism.

One thing is certain, with practically everyone involved in the last movie apologising for it, they couldn’t make a worse movie could they? Or have I just tempted fate?

Transformers Dark Of The Moon is released in cinemas from July 1st.
