3D Tekken movie!

Attention all Tekken fans! Namco Bandai Games has announced Tekken Blood Vengeance, a full-length 3D animation!

With the Tekken series spanning an impressive 17 years (the first game was released in 1994), it could be said the title is long over-due for a shiny CG film spin-off. Directed by Youichi Mouri, who did the Tekken 5 and 6 opening cinematics, produced by Digital Frontier (Resident Evil: Degeneration) and with screenplay by Dai Sato (Cowboy Bebop, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex), Blood Vengeance looks to be an exciting take on the King of Iron Fist franchise.

The teaser trailer (below) reveals old favourites Ling Xiaoyu (and her faithul Panda), Nina Williams, Anna Williams, Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima, as well as newer fighter Alisa Bosconovich.

The film is estimated for release in Summer 2011.
