Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact announced for PSP!

Naruto fans rejoice! Namco Bandai has announced that the yellow, spiky-haired ninja will be once again appearing on the PSP in a new game titled, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact.

Developed by CyberConnect 2, the same people behind all previous titles in the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja videogame series, the next adventure for the young hero will allow players to take part in large-scale battles against massive groups of enemies ranging from 1 vs 1 to 1 vs 100 – and even the ninja war itself is playable!
CC2 has always allowed for chaotic battles with more than 2 people on the screen at a time, but based on the trailer (posted below), Ultimate Ninja Impact is on a whole new level which will allow for truly hectic engagements on the battlefield.

Both single player and multiplayer modes (ad-hoc) will be available in the upcoming title, however it has not yet been mentioned whether Ultimate Ninja Impact will allow for online battles using the Playstation Network.
The story mode for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact will take place from the start of the Naruto: Shippuden story and progress all the way up until the most recent episodes of the anime, ensuring that there’s plenty for you to do throughout the course of the game. Boss fights in the story mode include the massive Eight Tails & The Six Paths of Pain characters, and there will be a large selection of characters to use from the Naruto Shippuden universe, each with various customisation options that will allow you to power them up to unbelievable levels as you play.
And if loneliness will be a problem for you on your adventures, don’t worry! You can also bring a friend with you to play co-operatively through the story via the PSP’s ad-hoc function.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact will be coming to the PSP in the Autumn of 2011, but if you want to see more about the game, you can view a ton of screenshots released by Namco Bandai on their website here or watch the footage below.
