Warehouse 13 To Get Its First Spinoff?

Warehouse 13 fans will be excited to hear that following another successful season plans are afoot to give the show a spinoff based on the H.G. Wells character. First introduced last season, Wells was revealed to be a woman (The H standing for Helena) and was brought to life by the actress Jaime Murray will be the first of the shows characters to get their own series.

The show is currently being developed by Warehouse 13 showrunner Jack Kenny (Warehouse 13 writer Bob Goodman is also thought to be involved) and early reports suggest that the concept centres around Wells being in 1890s steampunk environment in which she resists Warehouse 12’s recruitment effort and such remains a free agent. Wells would then use her knowledge of contemporary science to solve a variety of murders and mysteries aided by a mechanical engineer. It is then from these adventures that her brother will get the framework for his famous stories that he then writes under the moniker of H.G.Wells.

Warehouse 13 is currently one of SyFy’s most watched original programmes and so it would not be surprise to see the network cash on this success but the choice of Wells is certainly an interesting one.
