Inception Rings Five Saturns!

And the great award season for Christopher Nolan‘s Film Inception continued last night, after the movie not only took home “Best Science Fiction Film” but also the awards for “Best Director”, “Best Writing”, “Best Music” and “Best Special Effects” at the Saturn Awards last night. The Film’s star, Leonardo DiCaprio was beaten to the “Best Actor” post by Tron:Legacy‘s Jeff Bridges.

While Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part one failed to win any awards at the event, as it was beaten in it’s categories by not only Inception, but also Alice In Wonderland, which came home with “Best Costume” and “Best Fantasy Film”.

Best Horror/Thriller Film: Let Me In

Best Action/Adventure Film: Salt

Best Actor: Jeff Bridges (Tron: Legacy) [Beating Leonardo DiCaprio for his roles in Inception and Shutter Island]

Best Actress: Natalie Portman (Black Swan)

Best Supporting Actor: Andrew Garfield (Never Let Me Go) [Beating Christian Bale and Tom Hardy]

Best Supporting Actress: Mila Kunis (Black Swan) [Beating Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightly]

Best Performance by a Younger Actor: Chloe Moretz (Let Me In)

Best Director: Christopher Nolan (Inception)

Best Writing: Christopher Nolan (Inception)

Best Music: Inception

Best Costume: Alice in Wonderland

Best Make-up: The Wolfman

Best Production Design: Tron: Legacy

Best Special Effects: Inception

Best International Film: Monsters

Best Animated Film: Toy Story 3
