In Time – International Trailer

A new international trailer for Andrew Niccol’s In Time has made its way online, courtesy of 20th Century Fox Malaysia.

The film presents a future where time has become the ultimate currency (it costs four minutes for a cup of coffee). People stop aging at 25 and are genetically-engineered to live only one more year and having to earn, beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day.  When Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is falsely accused of murder, he goes on the run, and pays a visit to Philippe Weis (Vincent Kartheiser), who appears to be in control of the currency system. Will ends up taking Philippe’s daughter Sylvia (Amanda Seyfried) hostage, and the two of them eventually fall for each other, fighting back against the system.

While it’s great to see an original idea, a lot of footage for the film has already been released. With this latest trailer it may feel like you already know exactly how the first half of the film will play out. It showcases a lot more action (played to the sounds of Switchfoot’s The War Inside), and gives away a pretty big spoiler regarding Olivia Wilde’s character, Rachel Salas, who plays Justin Timberlake’s mother! Click play at your own risk.

So guys, are you intrigued by the concept? Do you buy Justin Timberlake as an action star? If Olivia Wilde was your mother… actually, best not go there.

In Time is released in the US on October 28th and is currently slated for release in the UK on November 1st.
