Inbetweeners Sequel Unfounded

Yesterday news emerged that seemed too good to be true for Inbetweeners fans when numerous reports claimed that there was to be a sequel to the hit British comedy. Reports claimed that the sequel would be set four years in the future, where the boys would meet up again – and no doubt get absolutely plastered – on the eve of Neil’s wedding. Sadly, these rumours are about as true as one of Jay’s wild orgys.

The show’s co-creator Iain Morris described the idea of there being a plot as ‘insane‘ saying that he and fellow co-creator Damon Beesley had discussed nothing. He added, ‘we were an independent British film, so talk of the ‘studio’ is nonsense.

It’s brilliant and humbling that people like it so much,’ said Morris. ‘We love working with the boys, we honestly miss them, and the reaction to the film is incredible, so we’ve got a lot to talk about.’

Earlier this year Iain Morris was quoted as saying that the movie would be the final goodbye to the boys, claiming that it would be difficult to continue after they leave college as they would all go their seperate ways. However, it has been suggested that the huge popularity of the movie may have changed the creator’s mind. No one knows if there will be a sequel or not, but one things for sure, it certainly ain’t going to revolve around Neil’s wedding night.
