Resident Evil 4 Now on Xbox Live and PSN

Gears of War 3‘s release yesterday may have gamers excited, but there is another game that was released that’s definitely worth a mention – Resident Evil 4 HD.

Released by Capcom, Resident Evil 4 originally graced the Nintendo GameCube and Playstation 2 in 2005. Since then, it has garnered releases on the Wii, iPod Touch and iPhone, Microsoft Games for Windows, and Zeebo. This version has been remastered in beautiful high definition for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and is now available to download via their Xbox Live On Demand and PSN stores for £14.99.

Resident Evil 4 follows Leon S. Kennedy, who is sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the President’s daughter. Ashley has been kidnapped by a mysterious cult, which Leon must investigate whilst in the process of getting Ashley back into safe hands. Of course, things are not as simple as they seem. Leon is sent to a rural village in Europe, where he encounters a horde of violent, infected villagers who seem to be ruled by the cult. Leon now not only has to battle the cult to save the President’s daughter, but also to stop the dangerous virus from spreading to the rest of the world.

Another title in the Resident Evil series, Code Veronica X has also received a high definition re-release for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, which shall be available on September 27th. As well as this, Capcom‘s newest Resident Evil title, Operation Raccoon City, is due for a release early next year, as is Resident Evil: Revelations for the Nintendo 3DS. This means that there is plenty of content on the way for Resident Evil fans.
