X Factor Host Gets Buzzed?!

It would seem that after both a controversial season here in the UK and in the USA, the X Factor cannot help but keep itself out of the news at the moment. The latest bit of drama for the alphabet named show focuses on the US version which premièred this past fall and despite mixed ratings , shocking voting choices and some mind boggling bizarre comments from the judges, the show was picked up for a second season.

However despite the shows renewal not all is going to be the same for US viewers when the show returns next fall.  As it has been confirmed at the recent Television Critics Association press tour by Fox Network Entertainment president Kevin Reilly, that not only will the show, “undergo some changes” but also that UK host Steve Jones will not be returning as the front man for the series.

Whilst this is a shame for Jones who left the UK to take the role following the offer from show producer Simon Cowell, it will not come as a surprise to viewers of the show as at times, Jones seemed to struggle with the role in particular how to deal with screaming producers in his ear or rambling judges.

When pushed more on the subject Reilly stated, “know [hosting] is a much harder job than meets the eye. I think everybody has come to see the value of Ryan Seacrest. Whether Steve is the guy or not, it comes under the heading of growth in general.”

So what this means for the series is still uncertain but one thing is for sure though, when it comes to X Factor, there is certain to be more news about the show in the not too distant future.
