February To Bring Konami’s Star Wars Collection Social Game

Japan is known for their success in the Social Gaming Network, and it’s not unknown that Star Wars has one of the largest fan bases going, so seeing Konami stick to their guns and invest heavily in the area of both is not a surprise to anyone.
December saw Konami announce that The Sengoku Collection (a game set in Japan’s Warring States period, where you collect and upgrade General Cards) is being turned into a anime after receiving just over 2.5 million users. The Dragon Collection (where you collect legendary dragon cards and battle other players) has raked in just over 5 million users, with Konami announcing in August 2011 that the game was being made into a manga series by Kodansha.
Konami has now released information that they are working with the Star Wars franchise to create the Star Wars Collection, set to be released sometime this February. Based around the six Star Wars films by George Lucas, players will be able to collect characters and vehicles from the series whilst undertaking missions in the Star Wars universe. Special events will also be arranged based on the original film stories as an extra bonus.
The collection will be available on GREE for mobile phones in February, and on iOS devices in March.
