The Avengers New Poster and Trailer!

So the latest poster and trailer to Marvel Studios’ The Avengers has landed.

Unlike the US version, The UK one sheet shows that the film has undergone a name change and will be known as Avengers Assemble for us Brits. I guess the reason for the title change is so that UK audiences don’t mistake it for something involving John Steed and Emma Peal (if that makes no sense to you then ask your parents). Still, the poster looks very busy poster with all the central characters and burning buildings. Plus, what’s with that light coming from the Stark building in the background?

The new trailer is just as eventful, with plenty of action and explosions, as well as concluding with the reveal of a pretty big villain! The only one gripe would be the lack of Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, who doesn’t say a single thing.

When Norse God Loki (Tom Hiddleston) threatens the Earth, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), head of the international peacekeeping agency, S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, he assembles a super hero team that includes Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).

Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers opens in the UK on April 26th and in the US on May 4th. Will you be watching?
