Assassin’s Creed 3 Images Leaked

I shall specify this now, this is still unconfirmed! Ubisoft have very clearly denoted that they will be making an announcement on March 5th about the next Assassin’s Creed, but as of yet nothing has officially been released. But with all the content being leaked to this extent, I’m just glad I’m not a Death Eater otherwise my Assassin’s Creed tattoo would be burning a good’un!

The images that come leaked from Game Informer and various emails are pretty clear that Assasin’s Creed 3 is set to take place around the American Revolution. The new Assassin character looks even more epic and murderous with tomahawk and bow, complete with the long militant jacket found of the 18th Century and of course, the iconic beaked hood.

With the end of Revelations finding Desmond back in his homeland, it makes a logical choice of character to have as a guiding ancestor for Desmond’s next steps towards stopping the Templars.

Following Desmond’s ancestry this continues the theme that Desmond himself is a focal point for his ancestors throughout the ages. Ubisoft confirmed already that Altair and Ezio were not related, and undoubtedly neither with this new gentleman, but they all have key points in the Assassin’s Creed universe which tie them to the gods/deities/beings that came before. So overall we can expect some closure on the use of these artefacts.

The official release will be announced on March 5th, a few days after the release of the Lost Archive DLC, which continues Subject 16’s story. Ubi’ Montreal must be having one hell of a busy week.

If you’re a fan of the pseudo-first person, Portal-esq styled Desmond missions found on the Animus Island in Assassin’s Creed Revelations, then this extra DLC content will be perfect as Creed enthusiasts have Subject 16’s story explained.

Subject 16 is definitely a cryptic character and not someone we would think of as a man in a mentally fit state. After all, to quote Desmond “He painted my walls with his BLOOD!” Also his demeanour does come across as a little unsettling to say the least. The two unused archways found on the Animus Island are set to be gateways to Subject 16’s memory in the same pattern for how we were able to relive Desmond’s past.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations The Lost Archive was released on 28th February for XBL and PSN and Assassin’s Creed 3 is set for release on 30th October later this year.
