Men in Black 3 – New Theatrical Trailer

From viewing the new theatrical trailer to Men in Black 3, it’s almost as if Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones haven’t aged at all during the last fifteen years since the original film. Maybe some secret technology at MIB headquarters?

The story itself concerns secrets, as somehow history has been rewritten, resulting in Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) having suddenly disappeared, now considered dead for over forty years. Agent J (Will Smith) travels back to 1969 where he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) and attempts to save his partner, the MIB agency, and the future of humankind.

There’s actually less Jones and a lot more Josh Brolin in this trailer, both of whom play Agent K. It’s also expected that the film will open with a shootout at Wu’s Diamond Garden restaurant. Evoking a retro feel, there’s enough action, laughs and Andy Warhol, while still leaving room for questions. How come Agent J is the only one who hasn’t been duped by K’s sudden disappearance? What other secrets are there? And who is in the vault?

It’s worth noting that a shorter international trailer has also been released, which features some additional footage.

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and co-starring Alice Eve, Emma Thompson and Jemaine Clement, Men In Black 3 is set to open in the UK and US on May 25th.
