Assassin’s Creed III Liberation Announcement

While Ubisoft makes its multiple announcements of new games on the core consoles, we must not forget those handheld legends which are rapidly catching up in the innovative way games are perceived and played.

Assassin’s Creed III Liberation is one such title which shows how the handheld market has been radicalised by vast improvements to hardware and software alike. The PS Vita makes an example of how these tiny machines are rapidly catching up with the quality we expect to find on our big screens. Watch the trailer below to have a true understanding of the visual improvements.

Assassin’s Creed III Liberation introduces Aveline, a new assassin, of mixed African and French heritage. It seems Ubisoft’s next steps are to put characters into conflicting positions with mixed lineage.  Her weaponry will utilise a machete, poison-dart blowpipe, duelling pistols and of course the infamous hidden blade, of which she is fortunate enough to have been given the honour of using two.

Again making use of the new setting as given by Assassin’s Creed III, Aveline will outmaneuver her enemies in the Louisiana Bayou with an innovative tree navigation system and then eliminate them from above with deadly precision. All set in New Orleans, this game will feature minimalistic loading screens and a free city to explore with highly rich detail. And who hasn’t been waiting to flaunt those assassin skills with a little feminine flair!

Assassin’s Creed III Liberation will launch for the PlayStation Vita only on October 31st, to mirror that of Assassin’s Creed III
