Bioware spawns Dragon Age 3: Inquisition

Bioware has announced Dragon Age 3: Inquisition which will see a release in late 2013. Hinting that it will not be a next-gen title, it will be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and will be published by EA.

The game, which has been in development for the past two years, is being worked on by the same team who worked on Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2

Inquisition will feature a new, modified version of the Frostbite 2 engine which allows them to, “deliver a more expansive world, better visuals, more reactivity to player choices, and more customization.”

Seemingly knowing that they had done wrong in the eyes of Dragon Age: Origins fans with Dragon Age 2, Bioware have taken to community feedback to further improve the series, stating, “Part of that effort has involved you, our fans, and the feedback you’ve provided for Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, and their DLC. We’ve visited message boards, read reviews, and we’ve gone to events to have direct face to face conversations with some of our most passionate fans. We’ve been listening, and we will continue to listen.”

With the backlash of the Mass Effect 3 ending finally dying down, will Dragon Age 3 be an opportunity for Bioware to regain some of their lost fans?
