Django Unchained Trailer 2 “Adult Supervision Is Required”

Quentin Tarantino is the writer and director of some of the coolest, smartest and most entertaining movies of the past 20 years. From 1992’s Reservoir Dogs to 2009’s Inglourious Basterds, he has become a proponent of making movies that go above and beyond most other movies in their genre, mixing together many influences and elements to create powerful pieces of cinema.

Now comes one of the most exciting projects he’s taken on, the upcoming Django Unchained. The film is a western, one of Tarantino’s favourite genres, but of course he has put his spin on it, creating a film set in the Deep South in the time of slavery, effectively creating a “Southern”.

Django Unchained stars Jamie Foxx as the titular Django, a slave set free by bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (played by Inglourious Basterds’ Christoph Waltz) who requires his services to track down the murderous Brittle Brothers. Django is the only man who can help him, and Schultz promises to free him once he captures the Brittles.

The movie also features the talents of brilliant actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson, an ensemble fitting of Tarantino’s talents.

A second trailer has recently been released which you can watch here below. If you prefer, Apple HD downloads can be found by clicking here.

It looks very, very promising. There is no doubt this movie will showcase some brilliant dialogue true to Tarantino’s style, and it will be very interesting to see how Christoph Waltz plays, having played one of the greatest cinematic villains of recent years as the dangerous Jew hunter Hans Landa in Tarantino’s previous cinematic outing Inglourious Basterds. Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Calvin Candie also looks to be an interesting antagonist, though only time will tell before we can see if he can match the likes of a Hans Landa.

Regardless, this is certainly one of the upcoming movies to watch. Tarantino is a very talented individual who has produced some memorable movies, and Django Unchained looks to continue that legacy.
