Date for the Return of Doctor Who Confirmed

The BBC have confirmed that Doctor Who will return over the Easter Weekend on the 30th of March. This will be the second part of Series 7 and will kick off with an episode written by show runner Steven Moffat. There will also be two episodes by series regular Mark Gatiss and a much anticipated episode by Neil Gaiman. If you didn’t catch the 2013 preview you can watch it at your leisure below.

And in other Doctor Who news, remember those short stories we mentioned earlier this month? Well, the first has finally been released. Written by Eoin Colfer (of Artemis Fowl fame), the first is titled A Big Hand for the Doctor.

Eleven Doctors, eleven months, eleven stories: a year-long celebration of Doctor Who! The most exciting names in children’s fiction each create their own unique adventure about the time-travelling Time Lord.

London, 1900. The First Doctor is missing both his hand and his granddaughter, Susan. Faced with the search for Susan, a strange beam of soporific light, and a host of marauding Soul Pirates intent on harvesting human limbs, the Doctor is promised a dangerous journey into a land he may never forget…

Eoin Colfer has taken inspiration from Peter Pan saying “I thought it might be a nice idea to somehow blend Peter Pan and Doctor Who together… My story is set in Victorian London in 1900 and the Doctor kind of bumps into J.M Barrie…”

A Big Hand for the Doctor is available on the Kindle for £1.99. The following stories will be released on the 23rd of every month.
