Lara Croft Actor to attend May MCM Expo

Who here enjoyed this year’s reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise? I know I sure did. It was praised by critics and fans alike for the way it reinvented Lara Croft as a believable, relatable human being, and much of this comes down the the wonderful acting job done by Lara’s Voice and Performance Actress, Camilla Luddington.

For those of you who, like me, enjoyed her portrayal of one of gaming’s most iconic female characters, you’ll be glad to hear that Camilla will be at this year’s May MCM London Comic Con. Attending on both the Saturday and Sunday, Camilla will be there to meet fans and to talk about her experiences bringing the character to life.

Published earlier this year by Square Enix, the new Tomb Raider game shows Lara on her first expedition and allows us to witness her journey from terrified university student to confident adventurer, all while exploring the mysterious and dangerous island of Yamatai. Lara shows a great deal of depth of character throughout her journey, something very few games can calim to with with as great a level of skill.

Camilla Luddington’s other credits include Jo Wilson in Grey’s Anatomy, Claudette Crane in HBO vampire drama True Blood and Lizzie in the fifth season of Californication.

Also attending this May’s MCM Expo will be a whole host of other guests from TV, Games, Film and Anime. Currently confirmed guests include the stars of Once Upon a Time, cast and crew from Steven Spielberg’s Falling Skies, famed anime director Shinichiro Watanabe and Mass Effect star Mark Meer. You’ll also be able to go along to areas of the show floor run by various game companies, currently confirmed to include Capcom, Nintendo, Square Enix, Rising Star, Tecmo Koei and Koch Media.

What do you think? Were you a fan of Tomb Raider? Are you excited at the thought of meeting Lara’s actor? What’s the number one thing you’d love to ask her? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
