SPiT LiKE THiS announce Normalityville Horror: The Movie

Lord Zion is a man typically found fronting the UK band SPiT LiKE THiS. Lately however he’s been busy with something else all together. He’s written the script to a film called Normalityville Horror, a sci-fi thriller about a man who joins a revolution to overthrow a corrupt government. For fans of the band, the name rings a very loud bell as it’s also the title given to their current album. However Lord Zion assures us the connection is only thematic.

“I always knew I would one day write movies – I have a very visual outlook on the things I create.  In the past year or so, I have been involved in a couple of films, as myself and acting in one.  This ignited the bug inside to get writing!  I spent six months planning then writing the screenplay, encouraged by the film makers I know who all said they would help me get it made.  The theme of both the SLT album and this film is oppression, expression and a desire to be more – but that is where the link ends.  This is not a SPiT LiKE THiS movie, but an independent film of mine which will be a cross between Escape From New York and A Clockwork Orange.”

The script is currently doing the rounds among various production companies, even gaining the attention of some great film makers.

“I am most excited as the makers of last year’s Iron Sky requested a script.  If they got involved, it would be a dream come true!”

Lord Zion is understandably enthusiastic about the story he has to tell but there’s a long way to go yet. He’s still in the middle of bringing a team together who can successfully bring his vision to life. If he can find talent as good as that involved with the latest SPiT LiKE THiS music video, then he’s got nothing to worry about.

If you’re interested in the project and want to stay up-to-date with the latest goings on, head over to the film’s Facebook page.

As for the SPiT LiKE THiS Normalityville Horror album, it’s out now on CD and Digital produced by Chris Tsangarides of Anvil The Movie fame!
