Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold announced


Get ready for round 2! Atlus announced today their plans to release a sequel to the hugely popular Persona 4 Arena in the form of Persona 4:
The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold
. This new arcade game adds in the features announced for the Japanese arcade edition of the game’s predecessor that were trialed over the summer, along with brand new content.

This sequel welcomes Persona 3 characters Junpei Iori and Yukari Tanabata to the fight, both sporting new looks to reflect the time skip since their last outing in the Persona series, along with some flashy new moves that ought to make them challenging opponents. Alongside these familiar faces is the inclusion of a new character, Sho Minazuki, who appears to be a Yasogami High School student, as the main cast of Persona 4 are, but whether he is friend or foe is yet to be revealed. 

Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold picks up where Persona 4 Arena left off with the announcement of a new tournament, the P-1 Climax, on Mayonaka TV. As the streets of Inaba are covered in red fog the image of a crucified girl that appears to be their ally Mitsuru Kirijo appears on TV. The S.E.E.S and Special Investigations Unit work to save those that have suddenly disappeared and uncover the truth of these mysterious events.

Currently Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex is announced only for release in Japanese arcades during Winter 2013. Check out the trailer below!
