Tales of Symphonia Chronicles Special Collector’s Edition Announced

After news broke in June that Namco Bandai will be releasing a PlayStation 3 exclusive, HD edition of  Tales of Symphonia early next year, a further announcement this week revealed that a special collector’s edition will also be launched alongside the main game.

The Tales of Symphonia Chronicles will include both the original Tales of Symphonia game and its sequel, Dawn of the New World, shown for the first time in HD and featuring additional, Chronicles-specific content.

Priced at $99.95, the Collector’s Edition isn’t cheap, but does come with a whole load of exciting extras including a paperback novel, five action figurines, and a multi-disc soundtrack, as well as the games themselves. Just 15,000 copies of this edition will be released worldwide, so fans will have to get in quickly to claim their copies.

Said Olivier Comte, Senior Vice President of Namco Bandai Europe of the new Chronicles bundle:

“The Tales of series, which is already very successful in Japan, has been expanding greatly in the Western market, and we believe J-RPG fans will continue being pleased with this updated HD edition of two of the most classic Tales of games.”
