Miyavi To “Slap The World” With A Tour!

With the announcement that J-rock and Visual Kei music making machine Miyavi will be heading to London on his “Slap The World” tour, fans are already busy sorting out tickets and hotels. Unlike most concerts Wylie Music announced a few days back that the concert for London will be held on 15th March 2014, giving fans a good four months to make plans and sort themselves out. Miyavi is known as the Guitar samurai of Japan, and has been wowing audiences since his debut back in 1999.

In 2007 he became a member of the group S.K.I.N (consisting of Miyavi, Gackt, Yoshiki and Sugizo) and in 2009 founded his own company J-Glam Inc. March 2011 the musician released the live album “Live In London 2011” and began his world tour “What’s My Name” within Europe, then went off to America and finished in Asia. Recently it was announced that Miyavi will be playing the role of Mutsuhiro Watanabe in Angelina Jolie’s directorial movie “Unbroken“.

With time comes maturity, and although Miyavi’s childish free ways are still there, he has moved on past the days of being frowned upon for being different. People have learned that what you see is what you get, and that although his exterior is somewhat alarming to some, his heart for his friends, family and fans are worn on his sleeve. In 2009 Miyavi married his wife, Japanese singer Melody and in the same year Lovelie Miyavi was greeted to the world, with Jewelie Aoi also born the following year. Fans around the world were proud and congratulated the husband and now father of two. With this they have watched him grow both musically and physically as a person.

If you require more information on the touring concert then please head on over to Miyavi’s Official Website. As for ticketing for the London stop off, they went on sale at 10am 12th November 2013 over at TicketWeb. Taking place at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, on offer are standard tickets at £23 or V.I.P ticketing for £50, which allows you early access to the standing pit, a meet and greet, and a photo with Miyavi himself. Tickets are still on sale, but be quick as they are guaranteed to sell out very fast.
