LEGO Unveil More Simpson House Details and a Special LEGO Episode

Somebody get us Kent Brockman, 742 Evergreen Terrace is coming to your own home, and it looks like it will be one of the coolest LEGO sets ever made! That’s right, for the 25th anniversary of the most popular cartoon in history, LEGO have partnered up with The Simpsons to bring them to the blocks. After the excitement generated from a picture of LEGO’s incarnation of the most famous house in Springfield, which you can find on our Facebook page, LEGO have unveiled some more pictures and a hands on look at the staggering finished product. Not only will The Simpsons be coming to LEGO, but the colourful blocks will be coming to The Simpsons for a special LEGO episode airing in May 2014. Not much is currently known about the special episode, but more details on the incredible house have been released and we have them right here.

The Simpsons family house

“I’d be mortified if someone ever made a lousy product with the Simpson name on it.” -Lisa Simpson

The set itself is incredibly detailed, and at over a mammoth 2,500 pieces it’s geared up to fill a week or seven creating The Simpson’s famous family home. Every room is accessible and the entire set is packed with hilarious references, nods and winks to some of the best and funniest moments in American television’s longest and dearest sitcom. Absolutely everything is here, from the Itchy and Scratchy show on the TV in the living room, next to the most famous couch in the world, to Bart’s copy of Radioactive Man #1 (the fact most of the items in the garage are stamped with “Property of Ned Flanders” is nothing short of genius).

The set comes with all the human residents (sorry Santa’s Little Helper and Snowballs I-V) of the Simpson household; Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and your good ol’ neighbourino Ned Flanders shows up unannounced as well. The Simpsons themselves are wearing their clothes from the iconic opening sequence, down to Maggie holding the radioactive matter from the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. All in all this set is truly an essential purchase for fans of the show everywhere. The LEGO Simpson’s house is a labour of love and it really shows in the details that every Simpsons fan will be sure to enjoy.

As if that was not enough Lego Design have also brought out a wonderfully insightful video that offers an insiders look into the design process, which can be found below.

The LEGO Simpson’s house will be coming to your local Try-N-Save in May 2014 alongside a special LEGO episode of the Simpsons.
