Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Title Announced

Hold the Batphone! 2016’s anticipated Batman, Superman and Justice League prequel film has a title. Prepare to don your most majestic cape for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice”.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming epic will pitch Henry Cavill’s returning Superman against Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight, whilst introducing future Justice League members includng Gal Gadot’s (Fast & Furious 6, Knight and Day) Wonder Woman and newcomer Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. The potential Leaguers will not only be caught in the midst of DC’s biggest heroes battling it out, but will face Jesse Eisenberg’s young Lex Luthor and have the support of Laurence Fishburne’s Daily Planet Editor Perry White, Amy Adams’s intrepid reporter Lois Lane and Jeremy Irons’s faithful family butler, Alfred Pennyworth.

The impressive cast seems to grow stronger with every announcement as Zack Snyder’s superhero throwdown approaches completion. The title itself alludes to Snyder’s impending Justice League film, so it’s sure to set the scene for future DC entries beyond the goodies that can be found in Man of Steel (maybe Batman is fighting Superman for crashing into his satellite) and lay the foundation for the ever-expanding DC Cinematic Universe. With incredible showdowns, classic DC characters, a screenplay by David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, Man of Steel) and Chris Terrio (Argo, Heights), what an exhilarating prospect that is!

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is to be released worldwide on the 6th of May, 2016.
