New Godzilla Game For PS3

It was in 2007 that we last saw a Godzilla game released on gaming consoles. Now it’s 2014, and Bandai Namco are publishing a brand new Godzilla game for the PlayStation 3 to be released in Japan this winter. So far, this is a PlayStation 3 exclusive, and there has been no word yet as to whether it will be released outside of Japan (good thing the Playstation 3 is region free).

The trailer shows us the classic 1994 Godzilla destroying buildings, crushing tanks and, of course, using his trademark atomic breath. Towards the end of the trailer, we get a glimpse of what seems to be Legendary’s 2014 version of Godzilla. Not long after the reveal video was posted on YouTube, a magazine scan with some screenshots also appeared online.

From the scan, we can see that classic Godzilla and Legendary’s Godzilla will face off against each other. Legendary’s Godzilla will be a playable character and MechaGodzilla from the 2002 Godzilla movie “Godzilla VS MechaGodzilla” also makes an appearance.

What are your thoughts on this new Godzilla game? Would you like to see it released on other consoles? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
