MCM Scotland Comic Con beats its own attendance record!

MCM Glasgow Comic Con

With the sun shining on the Glasgow SECC and the feeling of summer still lingering, the MCM Scotland Comic Con rolled in for its second year. The event, which this year ran over two days, saw 26,000 fans gather at the SECC to witness a variety of amazing cosplays, celebrity guests and even a special guest appearance from actor Luke Evans, who was on hand to show a worldwide exclusive look at his new movie, Dracula Untold.

When describing this experience after the event, Evans said on Twitter, “Truly brilliant to see and meet the fans today. Thank you for your love and support!”

Also on hand to meet the fans were guests such as Hannah Spearitt (Primeval, S Club 7), Andrew Lee Potts (Primeval), Ian McNiece (Doctor Who, Dune), James Cosmos (Game of Thrones), Karen Dotrice (Mary Poppins) and voice actors D.C. Douglas (Resident Evil ) and Courtenay Taylor (Mass Effect).

The event also featured YouTube creators and shows such as Tomska, Eddsworld, Cops and Monsters, Caladonia, Christoper Bingham and more as part of the VidFest area.

It will come as no surprise that following this event the MCM Comic Con team are set to return to Scotland in 2015, but as yet no date has been set.
