With September now almost over, it is truly shocking how fast the year is coming to a close. Before the year is out, however, there’s still plenty to look forward to, with the coming month heralding one particularly big event: MCM London Comic Con October 2014!

As we all know, with big events come big guests, and to whet the appetites of potential attendees, several of these have already been announced. Below is a selection of those revealed so far, but remember: there are still plenty more to be confirmed, so don’t forget to check back for further updates!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Four characters from the famed, original Power Rangers series will be making an appearance at MCM London Comic Con this October. Austin St. John, Walter Jones, Karan Ashley and David Yost will all be at the convention on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday and are expected to participate in a discussion panel.

Shinichiro Watanabe

One of the key parts of any MCM Comic Con is the Japanese culture section. Shinichiro Watanabe is an anime legend and director who has brought us such gems as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. He has also directed episodes of various TV shows including Space Dandy, Kids on the Slope and The Animatrix. While this won’t be Watanabe’s first appearance at an MCM Comic Convention, this is nevertheless an amazing guest announcement, offering regular con-goers a chance to see him again, as well as giving those who missed him the first time round an opportunity to hear what he has to say. Shinichiro Watanabe will be at the London convention on both Saturday and Sunday.

Vic Mignogna

Popular voice actor Vic Mignogna has over 180 acting credits to his name. You’ll probably know him best from his roles in hit shows such Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Soul Eater, in which he plays Edward Elric and Death Scythe, respectively. Vic will be in attendance on the Saturday and Sunday.

Laura Bailey

With a whopping 268 credits to her name, it seems safe enough to say that Laura Bailey is pretty darn good at her job. Best known for her voice acting work in anime series such as Soul Eater and video games like Batman: Arkham Origins, Bailey previously voiced Dende in the cult classic Dragonball Z.

Travis Willingham

Travis Willingham is an actor whose work ranges from voicing Portgas D. Ace in One Piece and Cell in Dragonball Z: Battle of Z, to taking on the part of Thor in Marvel’s Avengers Assemble TV series. In addition, he’s also married to aforementioned guest, Laura Bailey. The talented team will be at the convention on both Saturday and Sunday.

D.C. Douglas

Another voice actor and returning MCM Comic Con guest, D.C. Douglas is perhaps most famous for his portrayal of Legion in the Mass Effect Series. Having previously attended MCM conventions in Scotland and Manchester, D.C. will be joining us again in London on both Saturday and Sunday.

Andrew Lee Potts

A hotly anticipated guest for this year’s MCM London Comic Con, Andrew Lee Potts stars in popular show Primeval as Connor Temple. He’ll be there to answer your burning questions on Saturday and Sunday.

Ross Mullan

You may not know his own face well, but you’ll certainly remember a few of the faces he has put on. Rising to prominence through his portrayal of strange and creepy creatures, Ross Mullan most recently played The Teller in the latest episode of Doctor Who, “Time Heist”. Prior to this, he played Doctor Who’s scary Silence, as well as the head White Walker in Game of Thrones.

Robert Nairne

Up-and-coming actor Robert Nairne may be new on the scene, but we think he made a fantastic job of playing the part of the Vampire in Penny Dreadful. He’ll be be there on both Saturday and Sunday.

To celebrate the release of Morganville, an exciting vampire web series set to premiere on Felicia Day’s Geek and Sundry channel, visitors to October’s convention will be treated to a sneak preview of the first two episodes as part of Vidfest UK. In addition, we’ll be talking to the show’s writer and best-selling US author, Rachel Caine, who will join us alongside cast members Amber Benson, Lindsay Seidel, Jordan Tanner Farris and a surprise special guest. Specific dates and times for their appearance have yet to be confirmed.

Please be aware that guests, dates and times are subject to change. Check back to MCM Buzz for reports on any changes to the programme or schedule.
