CoroCoro Reveals Four New Mega Pokémon

Mega Latios

mega beedrillThe latest edition of CoroCoro Magazine has revealed four new Mega Pokémon that will feature in the new Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games. In addition to giving us our first glimpse of Mega Latias and Latios, it also introduces readers to Mega Pidgeot and Mega Beedrill.

According to translations posted by Serebii so far, Mega Pidgeot and Mega Beedrill will have the abilities No Guard and Adaptability, respectively. Though we don’t yet know about their stats or abilities, we do have some exciting news regarding Mega Latias and Mega Latios. If the translations are correct, it seems that players will be able to fly around the overworld on Mega Latios or Latias in order to reach special islands where they’ll discover legendary Pokémon like Zekrom, Reshiram, Dialga and Palkia. This apparently means that all non-event legendaries will now be obtainable in Generation VI. The sky will become accessible through the use of an item called the Eon Flute, and along with the legendaries, trainers will also encounter various other wild Pokémon in the clouds above Hoenn.

mega pidgeotIn other news, the Eon Ticket is said to be making a return through a special event that will see it distributed via a serial code in an upcoming issue of CoroCoro. With Latias normally exclusive to Alpha Sapphire and Latios to Omega Ruby, the Eon Ticket enables players of each game to travel to the mysterious Southern Island via the S. S. Tidal, where they’ll encounter the Eon Pokémon not normally found in their version of the game.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in Europe on 28th November. Let us know your favourite Mega Pokémon so far in the comments below!
