Block B To Bring Their “Block Party” To Europe

It’s been a long time coming, but MCM Buzz can now officially reveal that Korean boy group Block B will be bringing their “Block Party” concert to four countries in Europe: Warsaw, Milan, Helsinki and Paris. The Block B members’ personalities, along with their great music, intimate performances and fan interactions, are sure to create a party atmosphere at the concerts. MyMusicTaste announced on Facebook and on their website that bringing Block B to Europe would be an easy feat – so long as the fans wanted them to come!

A unique online platform, MyMusicTaste encourages fans to create voting pages for their favourite music groups and artists. The idea is to then share these pages on social media websites and gather votes to demonstrate a wide interest in the musicians. Once your friends, family and fellow fans join in and help gather more votes, then the crowdfunding can begin!

With donations made in “Tastes“, benefits can be given when concerts are created, and donations are also used to help with the costs of bringing the artists over to Europe. As soon as MyMusicTaste reach a given goal, they start looking for promoters and event organisers to make proposed concerts a reality. Sometimes, votes can even run in multiple cities, resulting in a mini tour being created. It’s a new idea for the K-pop world, but it seems as though fans are already loving it, voting for their favourite artists left right and centre and bridging the gap between the East and the West.

Block B consists of members Zico, Jaehyo, Taeil, Kyung, P.O, B-Bomb, and U-kwon, and is known for bringing a new generation and style to the K-pop scene. The band’s 2011 debut song “Freeze” solidified its members’ celebrity status with a fun, bright and enthralling video that showed off their playful masculinity. During the first episode of their Match Up! reality TV series, Block B released a second mini album with the title track “Tell Them“. In 2012, the band made a comeback with the boisterous “Nalina“, which changed the image of the members from fun-loving boys to that of true game-changers within the industry – the song was deemed an all-kill across Korean music stations. Later that year, their album Blockbuster was released, and was soon ranked at number 10 on the American “Billboard World Albums Chart“. This success was celebrated with the release of “Nillilli Mambo“, marking another change in direction, both visually and musically. In late 2013, amidst a change in entertainment company, Block B recorded the song “Be The Light“, which showcased a new genre they were then testing out.

The band has repeatedly defied categorisation with work that is more than just hip-hop, pop or rock, proving that there are no limitations when listening or creating music. October 2013 saw the release of “Very Good“, which once again showed off the band members’ personalities in another fun and creative video that sees Zico reference fellow K-pop boy group Big Bang. Following this, April 2014 saw the release of “Jackpot“, where the members represent themselves as circus performers who go on a journey to change an ordinary girl into a badass woman. Finally, their latest single, “Her“, is an imaginative release including ostriches, pop art, quotes from Zico’s favourite anime, and a lot of tomfoolery.

With fan excitement now brewing across Europe, it’s safe to say that any lucky person who gets to see Block B live will have the party of their life! For more information on any of the events, be sure to contact You can also check out the boys introducing their concerts in the video below.
