Pokémon ORAS: Eon Ticket Download Event

If you’ve yet to get your hands on the elusive Eon Ticket for your Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire game, a new way to claim your pass to the mysterious Southern Island will be coming your way soon. As of tomorrow, a code will be released allowing players to download the ticket via Mystery Gift.

Initially distributed to a handful of lucky applicants by none other than Pokémon producer, Junichi Masuda, Eon Tickets have until now been dispersed via the Nintendo 3DS Street Pass function. Those invited to the exclusive London launch were tasked with taking their tickets back to their hometowns and spreading them far and wide as part of The Great Eon Ticket Relay. The principle was simple: if you passed by someone in possession of a ticket with your Street Pass switched on, a new ticket would be transferred to your game, ready for you to pick it up from the Delivery Girl at your nearest Pokémon Centre.

The Eon Ticket allows ORAS players to complete the legendary Eon Duo, Latias and Latios. Where Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players would normally only be able to add Latias to their team while Omega Ruby players would get a Latios, the Eon Ticket provides access to an otherwise hidden island where the other Pokémon awaits. Once they’ve nabbed a ticket, trainers must first head to Petalburg City to speak to Norman (the gym leader and player character’s dad), who will help them to unlock its secrets.

Eon Ticket download codes will be available worldwide between Friday 27th February and Monday 2nd March. Watch this space for updates!
