K-Pop group Boyfriend to “Bewitch” Europe on tour

With K-pop entertainment companies realising the potential of promoting in Europe it seems that K-pop boy group Boyfriend are wanting to meet and “Bewitch” their fans in Finland, Russia and France. The news was released on Kanzen‘s Facebook page, who are no strangers when it comes to hosting talented singers from Japan and Korea. From hit groups such as LEDapple, SAGA, G.L.A.M.S, and Heidi to Plunklock, Adam, Ace and now Boyfriend, all of whom have made an impact within the Asian music industry and promoted within Europe.

Boyfriend debuted back in 2011 under Starship Entertainment with the talented members Kim Donghyun, Shim Hyunseong, Lee Jeongmin, Jo Youngmin, Jo Kwangmin, and No Minwoo with their song “Boyfriend” which helped promote the group’s name. After the success of their debut they released “YOU & I” straight away to the highest remarks from critics worldwide. Trying a new style the group released “Don’t Touch My Girl” which peaked at number 3 on the Gaon charts, a feat that’s rarely achieved by new groups in the Korean music industry.

Janus” soon became a big hit with their hypnotising choreography and catchy vocals, along with a semi-dark setting for their music video, not to mention their on point outfits which incorporated military and gothic fashion styling combined. From their debut to now, Boyfriend have had numerous hit singles in Japan as well as in Korea, allowing their fan base to grow worldwide. With their song “My Avatar” creating a large scale ruckus it became apparent that Boyfriend had quickly dropped their rookie status and had become a boy group to be reckoned with. With a new fresh style, and the growth of the group both physically and vocally, it was time for a change of style. The release of “witch” showed the boys as vampires in a battle for survival with some amazing use of flags and sheets as props to give the illusion of members disappearing from the stage.

Kanzen have asked that fans “Join the first chapter of Boyfriend’s European tour” followed by a list of places that Boyfriend will be visiting – which are listed below. But could this mean that Kanzen have more destinations up their sleeve or that Boyfriend are considering adding more “chapters” to their European tour? Be sure to keep checking back to MCM Buzz for more of the latest information about the tour and check out Boyfriend’s latest release “Bounce” which has an Alice in Wonderland theme.
