Deadpool movie reveal first look at Ryan Reynolds in the costume

It may not be due until next February but fans today were given their first official look at the Ryan Reynolds in his costume for the forthcoming movie about the motor mouthed comic book mercenary, Deadpool.

The costume appears to be a faithful recreation of that found in the comics and Reynolds even managed to poke fun at Spider-Man by using the caption, “With great power, comes great irresponsibility.”

The pose itself is a spoof of a pose by actor Burt Reynolds titled, The Cosmopolitan Man, which was used for a centre page spread by the actor in the April (Vol. 172, No. 4) issue of Cosmopolitan back in 1972. Sorry to say Burt, but it looks like there is a new Cosmopolitan Man on the block.

Deadpool the movie is currently shooting and Reynolds recently admitted to Entertainment Weekly, that they do not have the budget similar to most superhero movies. He went on to say that he thinks that in the world of superhero movies, Deadpool, is akin to that of an independant movie.

Regardless of the budget however Reynolds has also confessed to be excited to be work on the project, a feeling that we are sure is definately recipricated by fans globally.

Deadpool is released in cinenas in February 2016 is directed by newcomer Tim Miller and also stars  Morena Baccarin and Gina Carano.
