Final Terry Pratchett Novel Debuts in September

After the tragic news of Sir Terry Pratchett’s passing last month, many fans have been wondering whether or not Raising Steam would be the last Discworld novel we’d ever get to read. The announcement that there would yet be one more venture into the fantastic realm of Discworld, then, was met with much excitement, but other than the book’s name and its main character, further details remained scarce.

Today, however, Penguin Random House let us know just how long we’d have to wait for this final instalment, revealing that the publication date for The Shepherd’s Crown is set for 10th September 2015.

The Shepherd’s Crown will be the fifth of Prachett’s Tiffany Aching novels, all aimed at young adults. The series features many much-loved characters from the main Discworld series as well as a whole new colourful cast. Fans of all ages have come to enjoy the coming-0f-age adventure through Wee Free Men to I Shall Wear Midnight, and will no doubt be thrilled at the chance for one last trip into the witty, sarcastic world of Pratchett’s writing.
