Rosario Dawson set to return in second season of Marvel’s Daredevil

Who would’ve thought we would see the day Marvel would turn dark. With Netflix quickly becoming one of the go to platforms for series, Marvel chose to go down the dark route with Daredevil. Amongst a stellar cast, Marvel and Netflix have announced that Rosario Dawson, who plays Claire Temple, will be making a return to the second season, which will see its debut in 2016. Dawson has signed a deal which will also allow her to appear in any other Netflix original series that Marvel have been producing. This includes A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders.

Executive Producer/Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb states, “After working with Rosario in the first season, we knew instantly that we had to have her back for our second. Claire Temple proved a fan favourite in season one, and we can’t wait for fans to see all the plans we have for her next.”

Daredevil follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), blinded as a young boy, but imbued with extraordinary senses. Fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, at night he is the super hero “Daredevil” in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Marvel’s Daredevil also stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Wall, Elden Henson, Scott Glenn, Bob Gunton, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis Hall and Ayelet Zurer.
