Agents Of SHIELD Season 3 Casts New Inhuman-Hunting Rival For Coulson

Coulson and co will have a government-backed rival when it comes to identifying Inhumans in season three of Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD.

The show’s producers have cast Emmy Award-winning actress Constance Zimmer (Entourage, House Of Cards, Boston Legal) to play the head of a mysterious new government agency that will be in a race with SHIELD to track down members of the alien-created superhuman sub-species.

“When casting this role, we needed someone that could go toe-to-toe with Coulson,” says Agents Of SHIELD executive producer and head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “Constance brings a level of wit and spark to the role we could have only dreamed of and we’re beyond excited to add her to our already stellar cast going into the new season.”

Season three will also introduce the Inhuman supervillain Lash along with a number of characters inspired by the Secret Warriors, a covert team of superdudes who – in the comics – are led by none other than Daisy Johnson/Skye/Quake* (*delete as per preference).

Marvel has also announced that  Blair Underwood, who plays May’s ex-husband Andrew Garner, will return in season three.

Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD season three premiers in the States on 29 September and is expected to air on Channel 4 in the UK.
