Ali Larter Says The Next Resident Evil Film Will Definitely Be “The Final Chapter”

Former Heroes star Ali Larter may be back in the next Resident Evil film as Claire Redfield, but she won’t be back for any more… and neither will anyone else. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Larter says, truly will be the final chapter. (Well, until the reboot in five years’ time presumably).

“I know it is,” she tells IGN. “We are not allowed to say one thing. I am held to secrecy, but what I can tell you is that the script is amazing. They’re really wrapping up the whole series, so that just makes it a little more poignant. To be able to come back and reprise my role as Claire and my relationship with Alice, with Umbrella Corp. You know, I’m excited to get back in it. I think the fans are just going to be beyond excited.”

Production on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is scheduled to begin later this month, with some shooting planned in Cape Town, South Africa. Paul WS Anderson is set to return for his fourth outing as director. Larter joins Milla Jovovich starring as Alice and Wentworth Miller (Prison Break, The Flash) as Chris Redfield. Larter previously played her character in Resident Evil: Extinction and Resident Evil: Afterlife.
