ABC Orders Agents Of SHIELD Bobbi & Hunter Spin-Off Pilot

There could be a second Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD spin-off on our screens soon spotlighting Adrianne Palicki’s Bobbi Morse (Mockingbird in the Marvel Comics universe) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter.

American TV network ABC has ordered a pilot of Marvel’s Most Wanted from Agents of SHIELD producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski. They’re co-writing the pilot together and if the show go to series, they’ll serve as executive producers alongside Jeph Loeb.

The project was first rumoured way back in April but then everything went quiet and everyone assumed it had been quietly shelved. Apparently not.

There were also reports earlier in the year that ABC was developing another series with Oscar-winning producer  John Ridley (12 Years a Slave) that involved “reinventing an existing Marvel superhero character or property for ABC”. Some assumed that was the Hunter/Bobbi show but he’s not attached now, so does ABC have yet another Marvel series in development?

And what does this mean for series three of Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD series three which starts on 29 September? Will Bobbi and Hunter suddenly vanish half-way through for a project that may or may not go to series?
