Producers Tease (And We Mean Tease) Green Lantern In Arrow Season 4

Okay, there’s teasing, and then there’s teasing. So what are we to make of this season four production art that Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared with the social networking community over the weekend?

The art, in the style of a ’50s postcard, has not only been posted from Coast City, home of Green Lantern/Hal Jordan but it also references the Lantern Corp’s famous pledge: “In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might, Beware my power, Green Lantern’s light!”

Coast City has been mentioned in Arrow as far back as season one, and we’ve actually seen in in the TV “Flash/Arrow-verse” in The Flash episode “Who is Harrison Wells?” So this may just be an elaborate Easter egg.

When The Flash visited Coast City

However, last week, another executive producer, Wendy Mericle, posted the following:

At the time we thought she must be referring to footage of Matt Ryan as Constantine appearing in the trailer. But you know what would really break the internet? An appearance by DC’s other Green superhero in the trailer.

We hope we haven’t built up expectations too high. [via ComicBookResources]
