New SPECTRE Poster: It’s Live And Let Spy

Empire has unveiled the new poster for the next James Bond film, SPECTRE, but the behatted skeleton in the background can’t help but bring to mind an earlier Bond film – Live And Let Die. Surely that has to be on purpose? Maybe, with the Mexican location, there’s a Day Of The Dead (Dia de los Muertos) vibe? The white dinner jacket, meanwhile, evokes Moore’s look in The Man With The Golden Gun, Octopussy and A View To A Kill. Click on the image for a larger version.

In SPECTRE, Bond goes rogue during a mission to Mexico City, leading to the discovery of an underground organisation known as SPECTRE. Also starring Monica Bellucci, Léa Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz, SPECTRE is directed by Skyfall’s Sam Mendes.

SPECTRE is released in the UK on 26 October.
