The Pink Ranger was originally played by Amy Jo Johnson from 1993-1996 in Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. The film will update the television series, about a group of high school kids infused with alien powers to become martial arts superheroes.  The TV show has gone through various incarnations, with different titles and settings (including Power Rangers Super Megaforce and most recently this year’s Power Rangers Dino Charge) and there have been rumours that the film may fit into existing continuity to some degree.
