Confirmed: Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk Will Smash His Way Into Thor: Ragnarok

The rumours about the Fantastic Four rights reverting to Marvel may have been turned out to be bobbins (sadly), but another Marvel movie rumour of recent days (courtesy of has proven to be spot on: Marvel is in negotiations with Mark Ruffalo for the Hulk to appear in the third Thor solo movie, Thor: Ragnarok.

Of course, when The Hollywood Reporter says “in negotiations” it usually means “deal’s all done bar the official announcement” so it looks certain now that we’ll see the jolly fade giant smashing his way into the world of Norse mythology.

The Hulk was last seen jetting off to pastures unknown as the end of Avengers: Age Of Ultron having suffered a major PR backlash during the movie (let’s just say Johannesburg is unlikely to give Bruce Banner the keys to the city).

Marvel recently announced that Thor 3: Ragnarok will be directed by New Zealander Taika Waititi (What We Do In The Shadows, Flight Of The Conchords).

Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Jamie Alexander (Lady Sif) will also be joining Chris Hemsworth (Thor) in the third movie which is set for a 27 October 2017 release in the UK.
