Alien Covenant’s Lead Female Star Revealed

Michael Fassbender will be reunited with his Steve Jobs co-star Katherine Waterston in the Ridley-Scott-directed Alien: Covenant, reveals The Hollywood Reporter.

In Dany Boyle’s Jobs biopic, Waterston played Chrisann Brennan, the Apple boss’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his daughter. She will also soon be seen in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them as Porpentina Goldstein. Other credits include Robot And Frank (2012) and Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice (2014, pictured).

There’s are no details on the character she’ll be playing in the Alien prequel/Prometheus sequel but presumably she’ll be part of the crew of the ship that discovers the android David (Michael Fassbender) on the apparently uninhabited paradise planet they plan to colonise.

Alien: Covenant is due to start filming in Australia early next year.
