Amazon Greenlights Man In The High Castle Season 2

Amazon has renewed its critically acclaimed adaptation of Philip K Dick’s The Man In The High Castle for a second season. And a very different season two it might be if that cliffhanger is anything to judge by (we’ll say no more in case you’re not up to speed yet. And if not, why not?).

The Man In The High Castle is set in an alternative history America in the early 1960 after the Nazis and Japan won World War II. It stars Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank and Rufus Sewell and is showrun by The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz.

Amazon has also renewed the Ron Perlman-starring Hand Of God and Red Oaks. Meanwhile new shows that have been picked up from the most recent Amazon pilot season include the 1969 newsroom-set Good Girls Revolt, starring Genevieve Agelson, and political thriller Patriot, written and directed by Steven Conrad and co-starring Lost’s Terry O’Quinn, plus three comedies: One Mississippi, Highston and Z, starring Christina Ricci as Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald.
