New Doctor Strange Concept Art Reveals Sanctum Sanctorum

Marvel has released a new piece of concept art from the Doctor Strange movie revealing that the Doctor’s Sanctum Sanctorum in the film will look very familiar to Marvel comics fans. The Sanctum Sanctorum is the occult superhero’s mansion located at 177A Bleecker Street, New York City in the heart of Greenwich Village, at a focal point for mystical energies. Click on the image for a larger version.

This image would seem to confirm that earlier images from the set that some internet pundits speculated night be the Sanctum Sanctorum are more likely to be something to do with Baron Mordo’s base in Nepal, possibly the place where Mordo trains Strange. Although they could be of another bit of the Sanctum the design looks very different.

Doctor Strange, directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Scott Adkins and Mads Mikkelsen is set for release in the UK on 28 October 2016.
