BUZZ News Shorts: Star Wars Battlefront, The Flash, Marvel’s Most Wanted & More

••• Star Wars: Battlefront will have four new digital expansion packs over the next 12 months. The first will be an Outer Rim pack in March, which will add Jabba’s Palace and the factories of Sullust (from Star Wars: The Clone Wars). A Bespin Cloud City pack comes in the summer, followed by the Death Star in the autumn and a fourth, unnamed, pack in early 2017. [via The Hollywood Reporter]

•••  Malina Weissman (the young Kara Zor-El in Supergirl) and newcomer Louis Hynes have been cast as the two lead children in Netflix’s new TV version of A Series of Unfortunate Events. Neil Patrick Harris is still in negotiations to star as Count Olaf. [via Deadline]

••• Looks like season two of The Flash is set to feature yet another speedster (to join the Barry Allen Flash, the Earth-2 Flash, Kid Flash, Reverse-Flash, Zoom and Jesse Quick… they’re going to have to come up with an official collective noun for speedsters soon). According to TVLine (via ComingSoon) Days Of Our Lives star Allison Paige has been cast as DC Comics character Eliza Harmon, aka Trajectory. If you’ve never heard of het that’s probably because she only appeared in five issues of the post-Infinite Crisis weekly series, 52, debuting in #17 and dying in #21. She was created as part of Lex Luthor’s Everyman Project which gave ordinary human beings super powers. From the official description of the episode, though, it doesn’t seem like the TV version will be particularly similar to her comic counterpart: “Having arrived in town intent on creating maximum chaos, Trajectory’s antics are misinterpreted as having been perpetrated by the Flash himself. Barry thus must quickly uncover the mystery of who is the girl under the mask — as well as what is driving her mad desire for speed and destruction.”

Dominic_fortune••• Delroy Lindo (Gone In 60 Seconds, Sahara, Up) has joined the cast of Marvel’s Most Wanted, the Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD spin-off spotlighting Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) and Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lindo will play Marvel Comics character Dominic Fortune (left), a flamboyant, roguish mercenary who lives in a floating casino.

••• Fast 8, the next installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, is going to blow up Iceland… kinda. Visir (via Iceland Review) reports that the film is set to film in the homeland of Bjork and Magnus Magnusson, and is also intending to create the “largest explosion ever in Iceland” while there.

••• And while we’re on the subject of Vin Diesel sequels (which we increasingly seem to be being so) Tracking Board reports that Ukraine-born actor Andrey Ivchenko (Freezer) has been cast in xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, playing one of the film’s villains. He joins Diesel, Jet Li, Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, Deepika Padukone, and Ice Cube in the cast.

••• Another teaser for House Of Cards season four.

••• There’s going to be a Walking Dead colouring book. Considering the comics have always been in black and white we’ve been treating each issue as a colouring book anyway. You wouldn’t believe the red felt tips we get through. [via]
