Channing Tatum has revealed by Twitter that he’s set to make an appearance in the Kingsman sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, but his role, according to The Hollywood Reporter could be anything from a major supporting part to a cameo… as himself.
“I’m about to get all up in that Golden Circle,” Tweeted the actor.
Since there have been reports that the sequel’s producers have also been trying to secure Elton John for a guest appearance in the film, it is possible the sequel could be full of cameos of stars playing themselves. Then again, Mark Hamill appeared as himself in the original Kingsman comic but then played an entirely different role in the film, so who knows? Also, would Tatum really be excited enough about a cameo to Tweet about it? You have to suspect it’s something more.
Taron Egerton and Mark Strong are confirmed as returning for the sequel with Colin Firth almost certainly appearing in form (flashbacks? Android double? Ghost? Evil twin?). Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal are among the new members of the cast.
