According to The Hollywood Reporter Willem Dafoe (Platoon, The Last Temptation Of Christ, Shadow Of The Vampire) has joined the cast of the upcoming Justice League movies (yes, movies – THR says he’s been signed up for both parts).
There are no details on who he’ll be playing yet, but apparently he’s not a supervillain, but a “good guy”. Now, we don’t want to stereotype Dafoe, but he you’d have thought he’d make a DC great supervillain. After all, he’s already been a Marvel supervillain; he appeared as the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy.
Production on the first Justice League movie began last week with Zack Snyder (Man Of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice) back in the director’s chair. So whoever Dafoe’s playing he’s bound to be dour.
Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) will all be teaming up for the Justice League movies.
