A sequel to Kick-Ass is to set to start shooting this August, with a release expected for sometime in May 2013. Deadline reports that the sequel is being headed by Universal Pictures. The studio only distributed the first film, which was partially funded by director Matthew Vaughn from out of his own pocket.
